From now through Tuesday, December 13, several USC Libraries locations are offering extended hours to serve students studying for their final exams. Leavey Library will remain open for 24 hours, while both Doheny Memorial Library and the Science & Engineering Library will be open on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. After the exam period, several libraries will be open for reduced hours for the university's winter recess. From now through the end of April, the USC Libraries are offering foursquare specials that encourage USC students to engage with the libraries through the location-based social network. The USC Libraries have acquired several new electronic resources related to science and mathematics for use by USC's student, staff, and faculty researchers. Many of the additions are already accessible via the E-Resources tab on the libraries' homepage. USC's Science & Engineering Library, which received extensive renovations to its first-floor reading room this past summer, has recorded a thirty-five percent increase in gate traffic since August 1.
