L.A. as Subject, an association of more than 230 member institutions hosted by the USC Libraries, recently launched a new collaboration with KCET. A new blog, SoCal Focus, on the public television station's website complements the station's coverage of local news, events, and issues. KCET has invited L.A. as Subject to contribute weekly posts that illustrate how the archives of Southern California's cultural institutions and private collectors inform perspectives on L.A.'s history, current events, and future.

The inaugural post, "Roses, Oranges, and the Amazing Summerland", is now live on the KCET website. The post features images from L.A. as Subject member institutions, including the USC Digital Library, related to Southern California boosterism.

Check the KCET website, as well as the L.A. as Subject homepage, regularly for more from this new collaboration.
