A new book by the USC Libraries' Ruth Wallach explores the history and architectural legacy of L.A.'s Miracle Mile district. Published by History Press, Miracle Mile in Los Angeles: History and Architecture features images from the USC Libraries' Special Collections and includes a detailed, block-by-block walking tour of the Miracle Mile's most significant architecture.

The Architecture and Fine Arts Library holds a circulating copy of the book, which is also available for purchase through Amazon or directly through the publisher.

Wallach is head of USC's Helen Topping Architecture and Fine Arts Library. She previously co-authored Historic Hotels of Los Angeles and Hollywood, The Historic Core of Los Angeles, and A University and a Neighborhood: University of Southern California in Los Angeles, 1880-1984 with colleagues at the USC Libraries. She has also written about architectural drawings from the USC Libraries' archival collections for KCET's Artbound website.
