More Ways to Find Library Resources with iOS and Facebook Apps

With the recent launch of a new USC Libraries app for iOS devices and the addition of a catalog search feature on the USC Libraries' Facebook page, there are now more ways than ever to find library resources.

The new USC Libraries app (download it here) allows students, faculty, staff, and other library users to search for library resources with their iPhones, iPads, and other iOS devices. Users may also place holds and renew materials on the go, or use the app at bookstores to scan barcodes and located books at the USC Libraries.

Note that the app does not offer all the features and functionalities of the standard Homer catalog; users cannot page items from the Grand Avenue Library through the app, for instance. In addition, the app is currently compatible only with devices running Apple's iOS. A version for Android devices will be available in the future.

A new feature on the USC Libraries' Facebook page offers another convenient way to find library resources. Click on the HOMER Catalog image beneath the cover photo to search the libraries' catalog.
